SABINE COUNTY HOSPITAL DISTRICT
"Local people, helping local people."
Our District

We have served as the primary care for and overseen the well-being of Sabine County since 1975.

Your Community, Our Heart.
Sabine County is located in East Texas in the region known as "Texas Forest Country". It shares a long history with surrounding counties in the making of Texas, including it's role along the El Camino Real de los Tejas.

Today, the county is home to parts of the Sabine National Forest and two of the nations most renowned fishing lakes, Sam Rayburn and Toledo Bend. Recently named as a Go Texan Certified Retirement Community by the Texas Department of Agriculture, it stands to become home to not only the families who have long been a part of its history but also to newcomers in search of a relaxed, beautiful retirement home.

The county includes three school districts, Brookeland ISD, Hemphill ISD, and West Sabine ISD. It is also home to the cities of Hemphill and Pineland and a host of small rural communities including Brookeland, Bronson, Fairmount, Milam, Six Mile, and Yellowpine. The county courthouse and government offices are located in Hemphill.
